The Inn at Weathersfield
The Inn at Weathersfield is a secluded – but accessible – destination wedding venue, known for its chapel in the woods, lush grounds, historic inn and delicious farm-to-table culinary experience.
In Their Own Words:
Nestled on 21 wooded acres, The Inn at Weathersfield is a secluded destination wedding venue located just minutes from Okemo and Woodstock, Vermont. Known for its outdoor “Chapel in the Woods, vegetable garden and lush grounds, the inn dates back to 1792. The rustic beams and wide plank wood floors throughout pair with local art to offer the perfect backdrop for any wedding style.
The inn’s restaurant, The Hidden Kitchen, offers a true farm-to-table culinary experience. We believe in nose-to-tail butchering, making our own charcuterie, butter, pastas, and all desserts (except wedding cakes). What we don’t grow in our organic vegetable garden, we buy from local farms. We also have an onsite cooking classroom to teach hands-on classes and for weddings, it’s used as a DIY floral arranging space.
For each wedding, we create a custom menu to reflect a couple’s ethnicity, religious beliefs and dietary needs. We easily accommodate Gluten Free and Dairy Free and can always accommodate vegetarians and vegans. Our dining room seats up to 40 guests.Weddings over 40 require the use of a tent on the side of the inn with access to the deck, dining room and public restrooms.
Accommodations
Depending on the size of the guest list, most wedding parties are required to book all 12 guest rooms (all with private baths) for two nights and in most cases, close the restaurant to the public. The Inn sleeps 24-27 guests. Included in the room rate is a hot two course cooked to order breakfast as well as fresh cookies delivered to each room with tea and cider available in the afternoon.
Couples love to explore the grounds with their photographer while their guests relax by the firepit on the back deck, out in the garden, down by the pond or out on the front porch.
Favorite Moment During a Wedding: As the couple walks down the aisle. I am so happy and honored they chose to get married at the Inn.
Favorite Vermont Activity: Hike Mt. Ascutney or kayak down the river…oh, and star gaze at night.
