Authentic, candid and vibrant – three words that could describe Madison Anne Studio‘s photography and wedding films – and her own personality! Madison offers both photography and videography services for weddings and elopements. Read on to learn more about her!
How did you get into the wedding industry?
I entered some local competitions in high school and fell in love with photography. I photographed my first wedding solo at 18! I attended Champlain College with a BFA in Creative Media, and kept shooting weddings and photos throughout college. In school my focus was photography, videography, and professional writing. I’m lucky to have worked with amazing clients who have provided recommendations, which led to more bookings.
How would you describe your style?
Relaxed, candid, storytelling
What inspires your work?
Keeping it real is so important to me. I want your gallery to look how you remember it feeling. Full of love, laughter…maybe even some goofy shots of you breaking it down on the dance floor. It’s always 100% true to you.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I love getting to make friends with my couples. After capturing the proposal, engagement session, and wrapping up a wedding it gets a little emotional saying goodbye (for now until anniversaries and babies).
Any special tips for couples?
Take a moment to really look around and enjoy your day. You get so pushed and pulled around – take some time for yourself to really enjoy it and remember it.
What’s your favorite moment during a wedding?
First look with private vows. I’m always in tears because I’m just so happy for you both!
What’s your favorite thing to do in VT? / Local spot to visit? Etc.
I love to explore and eat! A nice day spent hiking, visiting Moss Glens Falls in Stowe and then to Idletyme or Istanbul Kebab House is a great day.
If you had to choose another career, what would it be?
A wedding planner! I just planned my own wedding this September and had such a blast creating everything, and the payoff to see it all put together is amazing!
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I’ve been to 25 states, 13 countries and 11 national parks in the last few years. And honeymooned in Germany and Sweden this past December.
What’s a song that always gets you on the dance floor?
Get Low
