Kamal and Jag’s Indian wedding in Southern Vermont is truly a spectacular celebration! The couple’s epic wedding took place on the family’s 400 acre estate in southern Vermont. Traditions Celebrated During The Extravagant Indian Wedding in Vermont

Kamal and Jag chose to incorporate many traditions in their Sikh wedding that are common to other Indian weddings, such as hosting multiple events over several days, using lots of red (an auspicious color for Indian weddings), and incorporating many dancing performances by family and friends. Nancy shares there was also no shortage of delicious food and drink that weekend!

As an example of the meaningful traditions celebrated throughout the week, Nancy shared how the ceremony began with the BARAAT, a parade where the groom makes his way to the wedding site filled with joyful music and dancing. After the groom and his party were situated, the bride made her arrival and the couple stood in front of the holy text, with the groom on the right and the bride on the left. Everyone was ready for the ceremony to begin!

This wedding is an exquisite example of honoring cultural traditions and incorporating your own personal touches. Every detail of this special occasion was perfectly considered and made for a truly memorable celebration!
